Overall employment and demand for electrical and electronics installers and repairers of commercial and industrial equipment is projected to remain constant with little or no change to 2031. The median annual wage for electrical and electronics installers and repairers was $61,760 in 2021.

This program explains the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of fundamental electronic/electric circuits and electro-mechanical systems commonly used in a wide variety of machines permeating multiple sectors of the economy.

 

Electronics/Electro-Mechanical  Technicians possess advanced technical knowledge and skills needed to assemble, calibrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair a wide range of electronic/electric and electro-mechanical machines. 

 

Electronics/Electro-Mechanical  Technicians use their hands, hand/power tools, complex testing equipment, and analytical thinking to diagnose and repair malfunctions.

 

Common employment sectors include: manufacturing, aviation, telecommunications, transportation, pharmaceutical, cinema and entertainment, finance, military, law enforcement, and industrial machinery, to name just a few examples of potential fields of employment.
